Fairfax County Times, April 2, 2009 — Published in today’s Fairfax County Times is an article by Bev Barker about “A Night of Fashion,” an event hosted on March 18 by Indra Books of Your Own Entourage at Moore Cadillac / Hummer in Chantilly for Habitat Women Who Build.
“I was delighted to line up volunteers to stage this fashion show to support our local Habitat and provide hard-working women a special night off for their generosity,” said Books, who organized 10 women and men to model fashions from Lord & Taylor and Etcetera.
The event raised $2736 toward the organization’s goal of $5000 — enough for a single build day. Ultimately, the four founding mothers of Habitat Women Who Build hope to raise $180,000 to build an entire home for a needy family in Northern Virginia.
“We’re driven to help families in the community,” said Jennifer O’Malley, Moore Cadillac Hummer Chantilly. “Inviting ‘A Night of Fashion’ into our showroom to help the Women Who Build project in northern Virginia was a very special opportunity for us.”
